After earning a Bachelor of Science at the University of Toronto (majoring in psychology and history), Marianne worked in fundraising for a time before going back to school to become a massage therapist. Marianne studied massage at Centennial College in Toronto where she earned a three-year honours diploma, and she has enjoyed working with the Satori team since 2010. She is currently working toward a designation as a certified reflexologist from the Lotus Palm School of Massage.
Marianne believes that massage is an integral part of a wellness lifestyle – a life of balance where a central goal is to be healthy. A wellness life approach includes eating a balanced diet, being active, achieving work-life balance, having fun, and nurturing relationships.
Swedish/deep tissue massage, myofascial release, cranial-sacral therapy, reiki, passive-stretch massage, lymphatic drainage, temporomandibular joint (TMJ) dysfunction and pain, and reflexology. She also has experience with low-back pain, persistent headaches, frozen shoulder, knee pain, and chronic shoulder tension.
